36 Weeks

How far along?

Total weight gain:
25 lbs
(yikes! I reached my ‘dream-alloted’ weight gain. At least I know I won’t gain past 30 in the next couple of weeks. Trust me, I’m really not vain about the weight gain. It was just a little healthy ‘goal’)

Maternity clothes:
shorts and some tops

I’ve been sleeping pretty well. I have to switch sides about every couple of hours AND get up to pee, but I can fall back asleep almost instantly. Depending on how early I go to bed, I may wake up around 6am or so, starving and parched, then go back to sleep until around 8 or 9.

Heart burn galore, achey pelvis, low energy, nauseousness, light-headed

Best moment this week:
Finally getting on the Military’s health insurance yesterday!!!!

What I’m looking forward to:
Having a baby!!
And doing our maternity pics t.o.m.o.r.r.o.w.
((Can’t wait, Marissa!))

Since Baby Girl is super low nowadays, her upper-body movement is much harder to feel (except when she punches my bladder), but I’m always getting kicks to the ribs.

Daddy’s Girl

Belly button:

What I miss:
Being able to stand up for more than ten minutes and laying on my stomach

Halfway effaced and 1 cm dilated!

Favorite moments:
Knowing that Little Miss will be here any week!
{It’s kinda nerve-wraking, too!!}

  1. Oh my gosh! Is it just me or has the little girl really come to say hello this week!! Your belly is SO adorable on you, I just can't picture you walking without feeling lop-sided. And I'm glad you aren't one of those pregnant women that get all caught up in their weight gain…I mean, you're having a baby for goodness sake! It makes me sad when I hear pregnant women complaining of their weight gain. Granted, I'm sure I will pout a little when the scale keeps going up, but think of the amazing-ness going on inside yourself! I'm so happy you are embracing it more than freaking out about it. 🙂
Oh, and I cannot wait to see the pictures!!

  2. Jealous of you 25-pound at 36 weeks gain. I'm 29 weeks today, and I've gained 20. Last week I was at 22, so I lost 2 pounds, but I don't think I'll get that lucky! I think I'll be pushing 30. But I'm okay with that…I didn't think 25 was realistic for me. Just so it's not over 30! 🙂 You look great.

  3. You look SO cute! I can't wait to see the maternity pics too! Wish I could be there, but someone's naps really get in the way of things… JK! 😛 See you tomorrow, hopefully!

  4. You look amazing lady! I think I say that every week though… but seriously… you do!
When I was preggo with my first I had the whole goal weight going on too. I think I ended up five pounds over. It probably didn't make much difference but I know that feeling (and it's not about being vain… it's just about that stinkin' goal in your mind!)
    You're making progress!!
